It's Martin Luther King Day. It's Inauguration Day. And here in Minnesota it is also Indoor Plumbing Appreciation Day:
If it was up to me, every kid would have to take the frost off the old outhouse seat just once before they turned 18.
It's good times in the State of Hockey, a phrase that's probably as hated in New England as calling Dallas America's Team. We are however, currently boasting about having the two best Division I teams(men and women) with the Gopher Women's team riding a 32-game winning streak, tied for the Division I record. And the truncated NHL season is underway with the Wild off to a 2-0 start. After years in the hockey doldrums, I'm really fired up.
Baltimore took me and a lot of people by surprise in beating New England yesterday. Congrats to them and the 49ers on making the Super Bowl. Brady and company's flop did some damage to my FFL playoff lineups, but then that's a pretty common theme. I don't think very many people went big on Baltimore to make it all the way.
Times are tough still, I guess:
JUNEAU, Wis. -- Two dancers at an exotic club in Juneau have been cited after they allegedly brawled over a dollar bill.
A Post-Crescent of Appleton report said one of the women is pregnant.
Dodge County deputies say they were called to Silk Exotic last week to break up a fight. They say it started when a customer tried to give a dollar to one of the dancers but the other dancer took it.
Pregnant?
Pitchers and catchers for the Minnesota Twins report three weeks from tomorrow. I have absolutely no idea if things are looking good or bad for the Twins in the pitching department, it's just a sign that the chances of -45 wind chills are fading, despite today. And the days are getting longer.
