Merry Christmas everyone. It's a bright and clear day here, but cold. We woke to temps just above zero and I guess it's hit or miss if we'll see the low double digits today. I'll take that over some of the stuff people are getting hit with south of here. There have been times when I've thought I would like to live in Kentucky or Tennesee for the more moderate weather, but in winter I would rather have cold and snow than sleet and ice.
Last night with family, and it was really nice to have the New York contingent in town(missed you, Patty!), managed to somewhat stoke up the Christmas spirit in me. To be honest though, it's not the same this year. The last year, especially the last two months or so, have been very hard on my faith in humanity.
But, it's still there and today is not the day to get into that. I'll leave you with a mental image of one card I gave last night. It was a cartoon of Frosty standing in the vegetable section of a grocery store in front of the carrot bin. To his left, a grocer has just come out of the door and surprised a carrotless Frosty, who has a startled expression. The caption?
"Frosty gets busted picking his nose at the grocery store."
Hahahaha! Merry Christmas all!
