I had never heard of it before a couple of days ago, but there's a website where people can submit snarky and judgmental maps of their city. Here's one of Minneapolis that sparked a little controversy around here for its declaration of parts of north Minneapolis as 'Compton of the North" and "too scary to investigate."
I'd say it's about 90% accurate and far from being nasty, even pulls some punches in a few spots. I particularly love the shot at St. Paul(with the arrow) located at the middle right edge.
And that "unsupervised children playing in the streets" right below "drug deals" in the middle? That was my hood in the early 80s. Both were true then and I have little doubt that both are still true now.
A few years later I moved a little south into a duplex where the u in "drunks" is on the map. That actually has changed I guess, because circa 1986 that would have been labeled "crack" or "gangs TPTB refuse to recognize while they prey almost at will on the helpless." Or both.
