Looks like winter is not going to go quietly around here. It's 25° and mostly sunny this afternoon, but it looks like another round of snow is headed our way for overnight Sunday into Monday, somewhere around 3-6". That will mostly make for a messy commute on Monday and that's about it. What's really kind of irritating is the blast of arctic air on the heels of that storm. The forecast calls for overnight lows in the single digits this coming week and even when things warm up the week after, the prediction at this point is for temps to be a good five to ten degrees below average.
Maybe that longer range forecast will change a bit for the better, but already we are not going to have a repeat of last spring when we saw 81° exactly a year ago. That's fine, as it was too warm and too dry last year. I'd just like to see the ground start to thaw so it can start absorbing some of this moisture.
