Angus T. Jones speaks about "Two and a Half Men":
"I'm on 'Two and a Half Men' and I don't want to be on it,” he said. "If you watch 'Two and a Half Men,' please stop watching it and filling your head with filth. People say it’s just entertainment. Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television, especially with what you watch."
He's right about the show, of course. There has always been some degree of raunchiness to it, but the few times I've flipped it on this year I think I've been more astonished than amused. Mostly astonished at the crap that people are willing to put their name to and broadcast on prime-time television nowadays.
Jones has since clarified his remarks by saying he did not intend to insult his co-workers, but he didn't backtrack on his assessment of the show. We'll see how that sits with noted stick up his ass producer Chuck Lorre. Jones is apparently under contract for one more year. I wouldn't be surprised though, if Lorre kills off his character too.
Not that I care all that much, other than it's good to see a little "truth to Hollywood power" going on. Kind of refreshing.
