Mitt Romney told Jewish donors Monday that their culture is part of what has allowed them to be more economically successful than the Palestinians, outraging Palestinian leaders who suggested his comments were racist and out of touch with the realities of the Middle East. Romney's campaign later said his remarks were mischaracterized.
Don't back down on that, Mitt, because it's true.
Palestinian culture, if that's what you can actually call it, is thoroughly corrupted by the fantasy that they will someday destroy the State of Israel. It is a culture of death that teaches its children to hate Jews and celebrate suicide murderers. If Palestinians would turn that energy away from destroying Israel and toward building a better life for their children, they would have a much greater chance to be economically successful.
They won't do it though. Their worship of hatred and death runs too deep in them right now. I doubt that harsh but honest words from any American politician can break through that, but better those than soothing words that enable the fantasy to live on.
