A safe and Happy New Year to all. Freezing rain and sleet have left the roads a little dicey here tonight, though things will probably clear up pretty well in a couple of hours. I have invites to two parties across town, but I think I'm going to pass. I'm either getting old or smart. Probably the former.
Saying goodbye to 2010 is not nearly as much of a relief as saying goodbye to 2009 was last year. Not that there was all that much great stuff this past year, but it didn't suck anywhere nearly as bad as 2009 did.
And there were a few good things. I got off my butt and got my hand fixed so it is once again usable. That was more painful and frustrating than I thought it would be, but it was worth it. It also led me to decide to quit smoking, which was of course, a very good thing in several ways.
I have a few goals for 2011 that will hopefully make it a year to be celebrated instead of appreciated for not being sucky. I don't want to jinx things though, so I'll just leave it at that.
Here's to a year to be celebrated for all of us.
