It was a remarkably bad weekend here when it came to rooting for sports teams, even by my standards.
Gopher Hockey: Two 3-0 losses to Denver.
Gopher Football: Stomped by Ohio State 38-7.
The Angels fall to the Yankees.
My FFL team got stomped by about 30 points.
The Vikes capped it all off yesterday afternoon by giving the game away to the Steelers. They should have won that game by at least two TDs. Instead they lost by 10 because of mistakes and turnovers for touchdowns. The best offense on the field for Pittsburgh was Minnesota's.
Oh well. Maybe I should start rooting for the Yankees.
You do, and I'll give you such a pinch. ;)
Yeah, the Vikings were making me think of my dad's frequent football comment, "They're trying to lose this game." I am 7-5 for the week (almost 8-5, ha ha) and it's ridiculous.
Right now, my sister is at the Eagles-Skins game. I'll bet she is enjoying herself.

NEVER root for the Yankees. GEAUX Phillies.
I thought the Vikes would at least get to overtime. I only caught the tail end of it while waiting for the Saints game to come on and it looks like I caught a good bit of the scoring. I feel for Chester Taylor. He's a good football player.

Ah, the double-reverse karma fake never works anyway, so I'll just root for the Phillies. Just don't blame me, Kate.
Yeah, I felt bad for Taylor also, Rob. He's earned enough good will though, that I can't rip on him. That stuff happens.
