Nah, that's not hail...
...This is hail:
The big one is 6 inches across. Thunderstorms roared through Minnesota today. Lucky for me (so far) the bad stuff went north and south of Minneapolis. Lots of people weren't so lucky. Hailstones like the ones above shattered windows on hundreds of vehicles this morning and even left divots in yards. A local Minneapolis station, Kare11, has a photo gallery here.
One of my co-workers got a call from her adult daughter whose house got hit with some of this and she was pretty shook up. I'm sure the noise was horrific. I've never seen hail that large before, glad I missed it (or it missed me) too.

OK, that has to be the biggest hail I've ever seen. The roofers, glass shops, and body shops will be busy for a few weeks.

No kidding. One of the local news programs showed an auto glass shop that had written over two dozen estimates by yesterday afternoon. I'm sure quite a few roofs were torn up too. I blame Bush.

I have it on good authority that our fair city had nothing to do with that.
